Living near Eastside Elementary School in East Cobb, it amazes me how few kids actually ride their bikes to school these days. I have been wondering for some time about trying to create a kids bike club in the area to teach kids bike safety, rules of the road and to encourage more riding. Any thoughts from members?

I am involved with the Fulton Flyers Development team. These are elite kids that race. But we also have a regular practice at the Lebanon Baptist Church in Roswell every Monday night at 6:30 for 1 hour+.
Our goal is to invite all and teach all rules of the road group ride skills cornering handling etc. We don't care what kind of bike they have and we should have some of our team bikes available for use.
I am also involved in the Safe Routes to School efforts. I can put you in touch with the people working that effort as well.
